The Basic/Emergency First Aid course in Abbotsford is an 8-hour, one-day program at Mainland Safety's South Fraser Way campus, certified by the Canadian Red Cross. You will learn CPR and AED for all age groups, choking response, bleeding control, shock management, anaphylaxis response, and heart attack and stroke recognition. Previously called Emergency First Aid with CPR/AED Level C, the course name is now Basic/Emergency First Aid under the CSA Z1210 standard.
Mainland Safety's instructors deliver practical, hands-on training using professional equipment so Fraser Valley residents can get their Canadian Red Cross certification locally without travelling to Metro Vancouver. Your certification is valid for three years and is also recognized by WorkSafeBC as OFA Level 1 equivalent. Pass with 75 percent on the evaluation plus all skills demonstrated.
