Transportation Endorsement

Transportation Endorsement is a 8 hour program designed by WorkSafeBC and is focused on developing practical skill in patient handling techniques and patient securing procedures. To qualify for a Transportation Endorsement the candidate must be at least 16 years of age and hold a valid Occupational First Aid (OFA) Level 1 or 2 certificate or equivalent. Successful candidates will receive the Worksafe BC Transportation Endorsement certificate.

Certification

Valid for 3 years upon successful completion of course.

Your registration is considered “pending” until payment is received or guaranteed by a company. Until this happens, you do not have a spot in the course. We do accept Visa and M/C over the telephone or you can come into our office and pay cash or debit.

1. What are the class hours for Transportation Endorsement?
This course is an 8-hour program that includes two 15-minute coffee breaks, and a 30-minute lunch break.
2. Are late arrivals acceptable?
Late arrivals are not acceptable under any circumstances. You should arrive in class at least 15 minutes before the start time to fill out paperwork.
3. How many questions are in the exam?
Transportation endorsement does not include a written exam. Instead, you’re evaluated by your practical skills during the class.
4. What is the price of Transportation Endorsement?
TE is $125 plus 5% GST per student.
5. Can we run a Transportation Endorsement at our jobsite?
Yes, groups of at least 3 up to 12 people can contact us to schedule on-site training via email at [email protected] or by phone: (604) 617-0211.
6. Are there age requirements to Transportation Endorsement?
Transportation Endorsement requires participants to be at least 16 years of age.
7. Do I need any experience prior to taking Transportation Endorsement?
Participants must hold a valid Basic First Aid, Intermediate First Aid certificate, equivalent, or a higher-level certificate. You also need the Statement of Fitness form to participate.
8. Can you send me the price quote?
Yes, please provide your email of choice and the quote will be sent.
9. Can I bring pets to Transportation Endorsement?
No, under no circumstances should there be pets in the classroom. Exceptions are only made for certified service dogs.
10. Is there parking available and where?
Parking is available at our Guildford location by the fence around the back and sides of the building. 

11. Can I leave the training early?
No, to receive your certification, you must complete the full 8-hour course.
12. Can I leave the classroom for 30 minutes and come back to continue the class?
No, to receive your certification, you must complete the full 8-hour course.
13. What happens if I miss the class or don’t ask for a refund in time?
If you miss the class or fail to ask for a refund in a timely manner, you will not be able to get a refund of any kind, meaning you will pay the full price.
14. What is the refund policy?
You can cancel or reschedule a minimum of 5 business days prior to the course. For this you can contact us via email: [email protected] or by phone: (604) 617-0211. Business days exclude all statutory holidays in British Columbia and weekends.
15. Is there a fee for refunds even if I request one 5 business days before?
Yes, all refunds are subject to an administrative fee equal to 5% of the courses face value.
16. Will I receive a certificate upon completing the course?
Yes, you will be issued a certificate if you complete and pass the course.
17. How long is the certification for Transportation Endorsement valid for?
The certification for Transportation Endorsement is valid for 3 years from the date of completion. After 3 years you will need to retake the full course to get recertified.
18. Can I take a renewal class after my certificate expires?
There are no renewal courses available for Transportation Endorsement. To receive a new
certificate a student must retake and pass the entire course.
19. Can I take Transportation Endorsement online?
No, we only offer in person classes at Mainland Safety.
20. Do I need to bring anything to the course?
Just yourself and one government issued picture ID. Participants have the freedom to refuse to present identification, but in doing so they will not be granted a certificate upon completing the course.
21. Is Transportation Endorsement recognized outside of BC?
No, the Transportation Endorsement certification is only valid within the province of British Columbia.

22. What language is this course taught in?
This course is taught exclusively in English.
23. Are there prerequisites to this class?
You must hold a valid Basic First Aid, Intermediate First Aid, equivalent, or a higher-level certificate. Students also need to be physically able to perform the tasks covered in the class.
