(OFA) Occupational First Aid Level 2
(OFA) Occupational First Aid Level 2 course is designed for industry that is located in close proximity to hospitals (less than 20 min.) Skills include; minor wound care, upper limb immobilization techniques, CPR & obstructed airway management, as well as medical conditions and regulatory requirements by the WCB. Upon successful completion of a practical and written examination, candidates will be certified for 3 years.

- Provide valid photo ID to the Evaluator prior to examinations
- Students must prepay to secure a seat in the class.

Q: Will I get homework every day?
A: Yes. You need to read the next day’s material, which your instructor will cover in the classroom. Typically, it takes anywhere from two to four hours.
Q: What if I cannot attend the classes because of personal/medical reasons?
A: If you cannot complete your course hours then you are not eligible for the exam. You will need to attend the next available session and complete your classroom hours before taking the exam.
The additional fee is $250 plus GST, which includes the exam fee.

Q: What if I fail the practical exam but pass the written exam?
A: If you fail the practical exam then you have to re-do the practical exam only. The fee for the practical exam is $125 CAD subject to the next available session.
Q: Why do I need to pay to come to the next course/session?
A: There are limited spaces available and this guarantees your spot in the next course.
Q: How long do I have for re-examination?
A: 30 days. After 30 days you will need to take the full course again.
Q: How many chances do I have for re-examination?
A: Only one. After 2nd attempt, you must redo the whole class.
Q: What should I wear for OFA level 2 course?
A: Wear comfortable clothing. You will be working on patients on the ground
Q: What percentage do I need on each component of the exam?
A: You need to achieve 70% to pass on each component.
Q: Will I get any equipment in the course?
A: Each student receives their own pocket mask and crepe bandage for use in the classroom. This is yours to keep.
