Blended Learning: The Future of Emergency First Aid and CPR Training
Emergency First Aid and CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training is critical for everyone. In case of an emergency, the right training can mean the difference between life and death. Mainland Safety Training Company offers a blended learning Emergency First Aid and CPR course that combines online theory with in-class practical training. This comprehensive training method is the future of emergency response training, and here is why.
The Benefits of Blended Learning
Blended learning combines the best of both worlds: online multimedia instruction and instructor-led hands-on training. The online theory portion of the course is delivered through computer-based training, which is self-paced and interactive. This allows students to access audio, text instruction, instructional videos, and quizzes at their convenience. The in-class portion of the course is delivered by experienced instructors who focus on the practical application of the course content. This allows students to participate in hands-on training and learn in a classroom environment.
Flexible Learning
One of the biggest advantages of blended learning is that it accommodates different learning styles. Students can access the online theory portion of the course from any computer or smartphone with internet access. This means they can work at their own pace and schedule. The course is customizable and offers unlimited course access for two years. Students can start the course immediately after registration, without having to wait for the next available class.
Full Certification
Successful completion of the blended learning Emergency First Aid and CPR course leads to full certification. The course is government-approved and provides a three-year certification. This means that students are fully prepared to handle any emergency situation they may encounter.
Course Topics
The blended learning Emergency First Aid and CPR course covers a wide range of topics that are essential for emergency response training. Some of the topics covered include legal implications, assessing the scene, how the body works, fractures, dislocations, and sprains, heart attacks, angina, and strokes, unconsciousness, wounds and bleeding, head and spinal injuries, burns, eye injuries, choking, shock, diabetes, asthma, hypothermia, frostbite, heat illnesses, and poisoning.

Do I get my certification after my class is finished?
You will get a temporary certificate from Mainland Safety that proves you took and passed one of our courses, but will not receive the actual Canadian Red Cross certification until 5-10 business days after course completion, which will be online through the email registered with Mainland safety and Canadian Red Cross
