The proper use of fall protection equipment — in addition to planning, supervision, and training — can reduce or eliminate the risk of falling. The Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requires workers to use fall protection systems when they could fall from a height of 3 m (10 ft.) or more, or where a fall from a lesser height could result in serious injury.

Certification of the fall protection course requires full participation and course attendance. Candidates must achieve 70% on a multiple-choice exam. Upon successful completion, the participant will receive certification that is valid for three years.
The duration of this course is 4 hours.
The certificate will be issued to students who complete the exam with a 70 % or higher and perform all of the procedures demonstrated during the duration of the course.
